Description:
June 1040 AD-June 1042 AD. London mint; moneyer Leofstan. Obv: +CNVT REX AN (without C in RECX), profile diademed bust left holding sceptre in left hand, forearm visible across bust, with king's name given as 'Cnut'. Rev: +LEOFSTAN ON LVND, short voided cross, quadrilateral with pellet in each angle and in centre.
Measurements:
Silver, 1.07 grams, 18.85 mm.
Condition:
Flan flaw to centre, otherwise good very fine; about as struck.

Comments notes:
This issue was struck during the reign of Harthacnut and could be considered a posthumous issue, but the inscription may be an abbrieviated or alternative form of Harthacnut.
