BRITISH ANGLO-SAXON - ARCHBISHOPS OF CANTERBURY - WULFRED - GROUP II MONOGRAM PENNY - SæBEORHT
(1.39 grams.).

C. 810-815 AD. Group II, Transitional Monogram. Obv: facing tonsured bust of Archbishop Wulfred without pellet to each side and +VVLFREDI ARCHIEPISCOPI legend. Rev: DOROBERNIA C monogram with +SAEBERHT MONETA legend for the moneyer Sæbeorht at Canterbury mint. Very fine, reverse a little weak.
