Description:
C. 1205-1210 AD. Irregular Issue, Group II, Class iii. Obv: facing bust with two curls (no pellets) each side and holding sceptre with HENRICVS.REX legend. Rev: short voided cross and quatrefoils with SIMOND.ON.RVLA legend with cross pommee initial mark. Rare.
Measurements:
1.36 grams.
Condition:
Near extremely fine and rare thus.

Comments notes:
The obverse of this coin shows the typical hair and details associated with Group I, Class ii coins but the reverse has the cross pommee initial mark of Group II, Class iii. A coin that seems to share elements of both groups. A lovely coin.
