Egyptian Faience Amarna Period 'Eye of Horus' Necklace > Lot No. 0502
Description:
A restrung necklace comprising ten green and blue-green faience wedjat beads, with faience seed beads in blue, green, yellow, pink, brown and cream; the central section of blue tubular beads with a wedjat bifacial pendant.

Provenance:
From the Foxwell family collection; Mr H G and Miss E Foxwell purchased their collection from the late 1890's until the early 1920's, acquiring from the Forman collection (sold by Sotheby's in 1900) and the Mc Gregor Collection (sold by Sotheby's in 1922) and the Clements collection in 1923 and thence by descent.
