66-70 AD, Jewish War, First Revolt, dated Year 1 (66/7 CE). Obv: Hebrew inscription "Shekel Israel", omer cup with smooth rim, pearl on each side, date above. Rev: Hebrew inscription "Yerushalem ha Kedoshah" (Jerusalem the holy), stem with three pomegranates (Reinach: "branch of lily with three flowers"); possibly imitative. Hendin 655; Meshorer 187. 13.49 grams. [No Reserve]

Condition: Very fine. Interesting.
