Description:
C. 14th century AD. Folding pocket balance to weigh coins. The body of the balance recessed to receive the free-swinging arm with coin platform, balanced by the shaft and rotating about a bronze pin axle. Fully functional and rare thus.

Measurements:
80 mm (closed).

Condition:
Fine and functional, with slight loss to coin platform and small split to main shaft.
