Description:
4th century AD. A jug of aubergine coloured glass; the trefoil mouth with partly infolded rim; the narrow neck expanding to the piriform body, tapering to the flat base; two handles applied side by side on the shoulder, drawn up, curved inwards to attach to the top of the rim.

Measurements:
65 grams, 140 mm.

Condition:
Fine, small part of handle missing. Rare.

Provenance:
Property of a gentleman.
