Description:
Group of six coins, left, from top to bottom: Faustina I posthumous issue denarius.
After 141 AD. Rome. Obv: draped bust right with DIVA FAVSTINA legend. Rev: Ceres standing left holding torch and sceptre with AVGVSTA legend. Hadrian denarius, 136 AD. Rome. Obv: laureate head right with HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P legend. Rev: Africa reclining left holding scorpion and cornucopiae, basket of grain at feet with AFRICA legend.
(Commemorating Hadrian's visit to Africa on his "world tour"). Theodosius I Siliqua,
388-395 AD. Trier. Obv: pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust right with DN THEODO-SIVS PF AVG legend. Rev: Roma seated left on cuirass, holding
Victory on globe and inverted spear with VIRTVS
RO-MANORVM legend and mintmark TRPS.
Right, from top to bottom: Trajan, Denarius, 103-111 AD. Rome. Obv: laureate bust right, aegis on left shoulder with IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P
COS V P P legend. Rev: Genius, naked except for cloak around waist, standing left, holding cornucopiae and patera, sacrificing over a lighted altar with SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI legend. Antoninus Pius, Denarius, 161 AD. Obv: bare head right with DIVVS ANTONINVS legend. Rev: eagle standing right, head left with CONSECRATIO legend (struck by Marcus Aurelius). Faustina II, Denarius, 152-153 AD. Obv: draped bust right with FAVSTINA AVG PII AVG FIL legend. Rev: Concordia seated left, holding flower and resting left arm on cornucopiae which is by her chair, globe under chair with CONCORDIA legend.
Condition:
Fine to near very fine.
