Description:
Circa 1st century AD. An interesting group of forty fragments of fresco-painted thick wall plaster; mostly geometric patterns in various pastel colours.
Measurements:
8.5 kilograms (total).
Condition:
Well preserved and stable, many with good colour.
Provenance:
Reputed to be from Pompeii, Italy. Acquired in the 19th century; ex Jeger collection, Switzerland (with copy of letter from the collector, regarding this material).
