VIKING SILVER-GILT PENDANT WITH ENMESHED BEASTS
8TH-10TH CENTURY AD
1 1/2" (12 grams, 39mm).

A cast pendant with integral slotted suspension loop, pair of addorsed S-shaped hippocampi with billetted bodies, roundels to the hips, coiled tails, avian profile heads; Baltic workmanship.

PROVENANCE:
Property of a gentleman; acquired in the 1990s.
