GREEK BOWL FITTING WITH TRITON
8th-5th century BC

A late archaic bronze bowl mount formed as a D-shaped plaque and C-section lower channel; the plaque with two circular holes, decorated in low relief as Triton, facing, bearded with arms extended around the holes, the lower body developing to fish tails. 28 grams, 34mm (1 1/2").

Fine condition.

Provenance
Property of a European gentleman living in the UK; formerly in a private collection formed in the 1990s.
