ROMAN GOLD PENDANT EARRING

Circa 2nd-3rd century AD. A gold earring comprising a thick wire hoop with twisted loop finial; attached to this a gold cloison with conical garnet, four bulbs set around the perimeter and two wire loops for attachment of wire pendants and remains of six more. Gold and garnet, 2.59 grams, 23.6 mm.

Very fine condition.
